Evil Eye Gold Plated Stainless Steel Layered Necklace

The evening carried with it a dusty pink and lavender sky. I was walking down the village road to the grocery store where I spotted a young girl of about 16 years old walking on the other side of the road in my direction toward the sea. I knew of this girl because she was a distant niece or cousin of my husband. She was tan with green eyes and blond, sun-kissed wavy hair. Her name was Chryssa. Coming from the other direction, was another young girl of roughly the same age as the first. A brunette with dark, olive skin and brown eyes. As they passed each other, the brunette gave Chryssa a scowl, a side eye and then spit at her. In my broken Greek, I asked Chryssa why the other girl behaved so rudely. She explained to me that the brunette's name was Athena, that she was her boyfriend's ex, and that even though they didn't know each other well, Athena was angry that she had been dumped. I said to Chryssa, "she seems hateful... are you going to be okay?" She replied, "I wear my protection against the evil eye. I will be alright." She smiled at me and continued to walk down the road to meet her love by the sea.
